License plates—and the collectors who love them—always seem to be on the move!
Fresh off a 2,200-mile round trip to the ALPCA National Convention in Fort Wayne, Indiana, several ALPCA members traveled to Tallahassee for a special ceremony honoring Florida’s Margaritaville specialty license plate as the 2025 ALPCA Best Plate Award winner.
ALPCA President Cyndi McCabe and President-Elect Mike Morgan presented the award to Robert Kynoch, Deputy Executive Director of the Florida Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles.
The Margaritaville plate was designed by a team of dedicated “Parrotheads” representing Singing for Change, the nonprofit organization founded by Jimmy Buffett. The organization supports disaster relief and community assistance efforts throughout Florida. For every Margaritaville specialty plate sold, $25 is donated to support its work.
