After loading nearly 8,000 license plates into the Penske truck, the 1,000-mile journey from Lakeland, Florida, to Fort Wayne, Indiana, didn’t seem all that daunting! So, the Plate Princess and I hit the road and headed north for this year’s ALPCA Membership Convention.
After a long but enjoyable drive through the Midwest, we arrived safe and sound and were thrilled to reconnect with so many friends and fellow ALPCA members.
By Wednesday morning, the Grand Ballroom was packed with collectors, conversations, and, of course, more license plates than you could count! It was great catching up with familiar faces, meeting new people, and being part of another fantastic gathering of the license plate collecting community.
We had to make our exit a little early with a 20+ hour drive back to Florida ahead of us—but thankfully, we were reloading the Penske with somewhat fewer than 8,000 plates this time!
Fort Wayne was a great choice for this year’s convention—even if we didn’t get the chance to catch a TinCaps game while we were there.
