Plates are interesting, but tin and lifeless, however the stories we’ve heard and the friends we’ve made over the years are priceless!…a few weeks ago we electronically met Golde Wallingford of Clayton, ID who had inquired about our interest in a ‘pile of old Idaho plates’…living in Florida, we don’t see too many of those, so we struck a deal and became the proud owner of a lot of Spud plates…turns out after a few more email exchanges that Golde’s very good friend, Kenny Bradshaw, had died a few years ago and left the plates to him….with only a population of 7, Clayton is a little too small for Golde, so he’s moving back to Maui….hence the plate sale….but we can tell what a class act Golde must be because he’s man enough to speak highly of a friend, something not done too often these days…so we’re sharing a picture Golde sent of Kenny and his dog, Molly, just before he passed…and remember, every plate has a story!!’
